Frequently asked questions.
Why should I child proof my home?
Children learn and grow through being able to safely explore and discover the world around them, most of their time during the first few years is spent at home. Household injuries are one of the top reasons kids under age 3 visit the ER, and nearly 70% of the children who suffer from unintentional injuries at home are 4 years old and under. Many of these accidents are preventable if the proper childproofing measures are in place.
When should you start childproofing your home?
Childproofing should start to be considered when your little is around the age of 6 months old. Some families choose to childproof even before their baby has arrived, while others wait until their child is more mobile. Your childproofing needs should be reassessed on a regular basis as they may change and grow along with your child.
How much does it cost to childproof my home?
The cost of childproofing has several factors that play a part in pricing such as size and layout of house, products used and how they are installed in some cases. We will provide you with a full no-obligation estimate up front after doing our consultation so you will know what your cost is prior to any installation.
How long will it take to childproof my home?
In most cases once your installation date has been scheduled, the childproofing for your entire home can be completed in one day!
Do you provide installation services?
Yes! We can install as much or as little as you would like!
Do I have to have a home consultation done if I already know what I would like installed?
No! Some families are confident in their childproofing knowledge and will contact us with what their childproofing needs are and we can go from there working up an estimate. Of course we are always here for any questions.
I have purchased my own childproofing devices, will Child Safe Childproofing install these for me?
Due to a wide range of childproofing products on the market, Child Safe Childproofing only installs certain products that meet strict industry standards and that we trust as a childproofing company from both a safety and quality standpoint. Childproofing products you have obtained on your own will need to be a brand that we normally install and will be inspected to make sure they meet our safety standards. If they do, Child Safe Childproofing will be more than happy to install these items for you.
